Welcome to the Students Against Destructive Decisions web page!

The members of SADD do a great deal to help other students make good choices in their everyday life.  SADD is committed to saving lives by empowering teens to stand strong against destructive decisions.  SADD's mission includes emerging issues such as substance abuse, suicide prevention, depression, bullying, violence, body image, and more. 

  • Red Ribbon Week 

    • The last week in October is set aside for Red Ribbon Week.  This week is set aside to raise awareness of the effects of destructive decisions.

    • SADD will count and distribute ribbons to the entire Russellville City Schools system.  Also, daily announcements will be made at the high school regarding the theme of the day.

    Prom Promise

    • SADD organizes a prom breakfast for the juniors and seniors of Russellville High School.  The SADD President, Junior and Senior Class Presidents, and a guest speaker will speak at the breakfast.  Also, students are given the opportunity to win door prizes.

Purpose

SADD is students helping students make positive decisions about challenges in their everyday lives and to provide students with the best prevention tools possible to deal with the issues of underage drinking, other drug use, impaired driving and other destructive decisions.

The students are committed to empowering young people to lead education and prevention initiatives in their schools and communities.
