  • Family Career & Community Leaders of America(FCCLA) is a vocational student organization for Family and Consumer Sciences.  

    • The mission of this organization is to promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education.

    • Focusing on multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community leader, members develop skills for life through: character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation. 

     

    Purposes

    1. To provide opportunities for personal development and preparation for adult life

    2. To strengthen the function of the family as a basic unit of society

    3. To encourage democracy through cooperative action in the home and community

    4. To encourage individual and group involvement in helping achieve global cooperation and harmony

    5. To promote greater understanding between youth and adults

    6. To provide opportunities for making decisions and for assuming responsibilities.

    7. To prepare for the multiple roles of men and women in today's society

    8. To promote Family and Consumer Sciences and related occupations

     

    • A fee is required. The fee is used for activities, community service projects, class competitions, club meetings, affiliation, t-shirts, and additional supplies. Students can join at the beginning of the year and will be given information while in their Family and Consumer Science class. Meetings will take place during school.

RMS FCCLA and SADD members are so grateful for all students, faculty, and community members who participated in the 2019 Food Drive. We will be able to make a big impact in the community with the great donation of food.  We are very proud of our students commitment to making a difference and helping others.
