Happy World Kindness Day!
Today, we celebrate the incredible power of kindness and the positive impact it has on our community. At RCS, our Golden Tiger Core Values inspire us to become the best versions of ourselves every day.
Respect: Treat everyone with kindness and consideration. Listen, understand, and appreciate each person's unique perspective.
Integrity: Be honest and true to your word. Kindness flourishes in an environment of trust and authenticity.
Kindness: Go out of your way to show compassion and empathy. Small gestures can make a significant difference in someone’s day.
Responsibility: Take ownership of your actions and their impact on others. Being kind is a choice we make every day.
Self-Control: Manage your emotions and reactions. Responding with kindness, even in challenging situations, reflects strength.
Positive Attitude: Approach life with optimism. A positive mindset can inspire kindness and uplift those around you.
Determination: Stay committed to spreading kindness, even when it feels difficult. Your perseverance can inspire others.
Honesty: Share your truth while being considerate of others' feelings. Authentic connections are built on honesty.
Let’s work together to make the world a better place, one kind act at a time. Share your stories of kindness and inspire others to join us. Together, we can create a brighter, more compassionate future for all. #WorldKindnessDay #GoldenTigerCoreValues #SpreadKindness

This week, students at Russellville Middle are taking their common assessments. These cumulative tests help track students' understanding of standards covered throughout the 1st 9-weeks of school and will guide our teachers' instruction in the classroom. Encourage your student to review their study materials each night, stay focused, and give their best effort! #theGOLDstandard

🇺🇸 **Honoring Our Heroes** 🇺🇸
On this important day of remembrance, we take a moment to reflect on the courage and sacrifices made on September 11, 2001. Today, we were excited to show our appreciation to our local first responders with a special breakfast here at Russellville Middle School.
As we honor the heroes of 9/11, we’re also reminded of the everyday heroes who continue to protect and serve our community. Thank you for always being #theGOLDstandard of service and safety!

With the help of local and state sponsors, 7th grade students from Russellville Middle School are beginning the American Character Program this year. Students will learn civics, history, character, careers and financial literacy in a format that uses excitement as its engagement platform. The lessons are in comic book format and expand into class exercises and activities that have serious impact. After studying the character and impact of historical American figures, they are then challenged to put their own character in action.
At the kickoff event, students were introduced to the program and the service learning component that will empower them to make a difference in their community and beyond. These “#GoodCharacters” projects will see students, along with local mentors, working to solve real issues. And, in the program’s conclusion, they’ll hold a #GoodCharacters Expo where they show off their bright ideas and the big deeds they accomplished.
The middle school program is a continuation of the Super Citizen Program which has inspired and taught similar concepts to many of these students in elementary school.
We’re pretty sure these students “had a ball” at the kickoff, and we’re excited to revisit them for the Expo!
